Dear fellow geophysical engineers and geoscientists,

The twenty-first Turkey Geophysics Congress and Exhibition will be held between October 16-18, 2024 at MTA General Directorate Culture Site. Our congress, which has not been organized for a long time due to various reasons; In order to create an environment where scientific and professional developments in geophysical engineering and related professional fields will be discussed; It is making a new start with the strength it draws from its past and believing in the impact it will create in its future.

Although the reasons are old and based on different factors, especially in the last quarter century, all the changes in our planet and the speed of these changes are far beyond what is predicted. Climate and environmental changes, which are the results of rapid and uncontrolled changes, the depletion of existing water and traditional energy resources, and the negative effects of natural disasters on humanity are the problems that need to be solved. Geophysical engineering plays a key role in solving these problems. In addition, the responsibility of our profession is quite high in the development of renewable resources that our world needs and seen as the only way out in terms of energy. In our congress, these global problems and all working topics of geophysical engineering will be discussed. Shallow and deep-scale mineral, geothermal, petroleum, natural gas, etc. exploration studies in air, land and water environments, earthquakes and related seismology studies, non-destructive investigations carried out from the ground to the structural elements of the building in building and construction, multidisciplinary disaster management, geophysical research using artificial intelligence, technological developments in measurement devices and equipment, new trends in our profession will be the main topics of our congress. Sessions with national and international papers, panels and various scientific and social events will constitute the main program of the congress. In the exhibition to be organized within the scope of the congress, our colleagues will be able to establish direct contact with many national and international companies operating in the field of geosciences.
